This post has elements of fashion in it.

Why Hello!

There is a baby wasp flying around my bedroom right now.
It is 12 minutes past midnight
and I cannot be bothered to move.
(Even though every time it gets close I squeal and squeeze my eyes shut, as if that would help)
It's not falling for the light trick
(you know, when you entice bugs with the power of light bulbs...)
And I am scared to use force because we all know what will happen if I do that -
it will kill me.

..So, back to the post....

I wanted to show you what I did on a Tuesday night last week.

I went to a Fairy 18th birthday party
in the woods
people wore wellies
and fairy wings
and danced to Abba

It was
amazing
Me and my lacy fairy get-up. Crap quality photograph but there are non that are better and I gather you readers enjoy photos of me and my outfits...right?
(And no, I will never show you a picture of myself dressed up as 'Charmander'. I'm sorry)
Back to the party....... It was an 'all girl' affair.
And it was all going so well..
people were socialising,
drinking pimms,
and mojitos
(you know how I feel about mojitos)
but then..
The rain came down.
Solution: Pass around bin bags and watch people
not only keep dry
but create some rather sexual waterproof hats and capes.
The hilarity of bin liner capes boosted the party from a 6/10
to a phenomenal 11/10.
That's the birthday girl herself, getting low.
Awesome lighting from the tree tops.
(adding to the fairy, fantasy theme perfectly)
People dancing to Abba, Glee cast and a few hits from Greece..

Great party all round.

Now onto the fashion part I promised you I would include.
(By the way, the little wasp has calmed down and is now chilling out on the cieling just above my bed. I have decided to leave it be and just pray to the lord it doesn't buzz about when I turn off the lights.) But I digress...

Hair Cut

I need a Hair Cut

Help me.

My hair is really, really long, straggly and it has no shape or style...
(I get it cut annually, I admit)
I don't even have a fringe-like piece of hair which I can whip out when I wear it up...
you know what I mean?

How should I get it done?
I would appreciate some advice, some ideas or even some photos.

Thanks!!!!!!! God damn wasp. Goodnight.

The Soap Did It.

Hi all,

Things aren't right.
It's blazingly hot outside whilst I sit here,
sniffling, spluttering and coughing my brains out.

How can this be??

I can only blame my past week. It's been a weird one.
1. A terrible Fancy Dress Party.
Nobody showed up.
This is the frightening thing about throwing a party,
you can never tell if it's going to be a success or a flop.
In this girl's case... I suppose the venue was too big,
too far away.
It was on a friday night - people chill on fridays.
It was fancy dress - people can't be bothered.
But I showed up!
Dressed in an orange vest,
claiming to be CHARMANDER
(you know... the Pokemon....)
No, I will not show you a picture of that.
2. A surprisingly good party!
Here's me, pulling up to my friend, Daisy's house
to find myself being ushered into an enormous home-made car park.
I can remember taking this picture...
taking a few steps back, bewildered at the gross amount of cars before me.
Daisy had told me her dad's friend was having a party at hers,
and to 'pop down'
I did not foresee what I would be 'popping' into.
It was gigantic!
Outside the house alone were tents, thai food, espetada stands,
fancy dress stalls, a safari truck... People smoking weed, taking pills
and dressed in all sorts of things.
And then there was me.
Sober and wearing something I'd just been to work in.
But I did stuff my face with green thai curry.
Inside the basement was a bar filled with booze...
SO MUCH BOOZE!
There was a stage where 10 bands played throughout the afternoon/night,
some of which were pretty famous.
(I can't remember who they were now)
THERE WAS A FREAKING FRUTINI MACHINE FILLED WITH MOJITO!!!

I would say that I am ill because I took loads of drugs, drunk loads of mojitos
(which apparently got spiked with MDMA later on that night)
and partied too hard...
But alas, I don't do drugs, I remained sober and I left at 11.30.

I am a sad excuse of a human being.
3. Student Night
A night where I took my sad sad self and got very very drunk!
(probably the night that brought on this cold)
I held some pre drinks at mine and we took the bus to town.
We were the only people on there, and we sung many many
heart felt, girly songs for the bus driver's entertainment.
(He applauded as we left)
Just look at that pose...
Why do I always do this?
Please... somebody shoot me
or at least take me home!
Nobody took me home... just yet.
We went to Pure, where a new student night was being held.
Good music, good dancing.
It was a shame when I went to the toilet, leaving my drink by the sink...
to find it tasted different when we were reunited.
Had it been spiked??
No. Somebody had just squirted soap into it by accident.
(my life isn't that exciting)

There was an incident, however, with the boy I was seeing for a while
(before getting back with Peter)
He ignored me
and later on told me that I wasn't worth talking to anymore.
I was pretty upset, I thought we were good friends.

P.S. I still reckon it was the soap which made me ill

WOW

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW OWOW WOW!

I've been reading Ruth's blog for a while now...
it's fun, quirky and features some awesome artwork made by Ruth herself.

After commenting, I didn't think I'd be the lucky blogger to win her 'artprojectgive-away'!
But now I am the owner of this personalised piece of art. I love it!
She's got my feet in and everything.

Thank you Ruth!

Must Make More Effort

Tennis, Golf and Badminton
are not quite as extreme as Pier Jumping, but
they have made it onto my 'sports to do' list of the summer.
Peter (now you know his name, I need not explain?) is sporty...
very very sporty...

and THUS I must make an effort..
the gym just doesn't cut it anymore.
Must
Make
More
Effort.

We've played tennis together a few times
and taken a casual trip to the driving range (note photo above)
But something more intense is hanging in the horizon...

SPORTS DAY

4 of us plan to go nuts and play as much sport as we can in one day.
One day of competitive, sweaty, torment.
OH, did I just say torment???
Of course I meant fun.
It'll be fun!?
Right?

JUMP

Pier Jumping - this is the 'extreme sport' I took part in this weekend.
Why just swim when you can jump off a pier into the sea??? It's awesome...

umm...well..ok...okok, I didn't jump.

Not because I was afraid!!!
But because it was just so warm chilling out on the top, I felt it was unnecessary to jump.
Unnecessary I tell you!

Ahem, anyway, I took my camera along.
I think I preferred role as photographer on this occasion...
The males featured in these photos are Peter and his brother.
Oh, Peter is the boyfriend by the way, heeehee.
(I can't help but giggle... doesn't it make you sick?)

This week I shall be looking forward to:

ECLIPSE (I am re-reading the third Twilight book in preperation)
Tai food
End to the World Cup (watching the final as we speak, penalties I reckon)
Making thank you/fair well cards for teachers that I like...
It's a hard life.

Happy Blogging!

Hostess with the Mostess

Bonjour!

Last week (I told you there would be a lot of catching up to do) I held my first beach party of the summer.

Yes, I was the hostess with the mostess.

All you need is some music, rugs, fold out chairs, alcohol, good company.. et voila!!! You've got yourself a fab night ahead of you. And fab it was!! It was so nice to just take a damn CHILL PILL, watch the sunset and actually have a decent conversation with somebody.
Of course, things didn't exactly run as smoothly as my suave bullet point list made it out to be... I did get so stressed and worried beforehand that I reversed right into my boyfriends car (but lets not talk about that)...
Overall...... It WAS a fab night and I think everybody had a fun time. I, for one, ended up swigging Malibu from the bottle after misplacing my wine every two seconds (thus getting angry and impatient). This resulted in deep, meaningful and perhaps, well... not perhaps... just very inappropriate conversations with strangers who happened to rock up after sunset.
With all the drinking and socialising, I did manage (I can't think how or even when) to reflect on my LIFE as it were. It must have been as I sat there, drinking wine and taking a look around, that I realised how lucky I am to be situated in such a lovely place and surrounded by such lovely people.

It's sad how I don't even notice the sound of the waves lapping against the shore outside my bedroom window anymore and how I haven't, not even once, gone swimming in the sea yet this summer. I realised that life shouldn't be taken for granted, especially not the one that's been handed to you on a plate.

Note to self: stop being a dick and go swimming in the sea!!!!

Real note to self: Don't take the summer/your home/the ocean for granted.

I'll miss it when I'm at uni... in Scotland.. cold..... eughhhhh.

Happy Blogging people!

A Love Story

Part 1:
Girl meets Boy
Girl loves Boy
But Boy does not love Girl
(shame)
Part 2:
Boy loves Girl
Boy asks Girl out
Boy and Girl are very happy
But then Boy goes to university
And thus, Girl and Boy are no more.
(crying shame)
Part 3:
Boy returns from university
Girl can't help but love Boy
Boy asks Girl out, again
And Girl and Boy return to their happy,
happy state.

The End

(YAYAAAAAY YAAYAY YAAA Y YAY hehehe YAAAAAAAAAY HURRAHHHHHHHH YAAAAAAY HURRAY YAYAYAYAY HAhahahaYAAAAAAAAAAAAY YESSS WOOWO WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO EEEEEE OO YAY hehehehe)
oh, sorry.

Long Time No Speak

Hey

I'm doubting people have even noticed my absence from the bloggosphere (although I'd like to imagine people have missed me) but still, I have been feeling really quite guilty about leaving my blog alone for this long. Very strange... I didn't realise how much I actually use this thing.. how much I like to blog/think about blogging/stalk other blogs etc etc, until I had no time to do any of those things this past week!

It has been amazing!!
My first week of freedom that is..

Just so you know, my exams..... meh... they went OK.. not bad.. alright.. could have been worst/better (you know the drill) but I have dispelled the dreaded thought of that little piece of paper (which has the potential power to fuck everything up) from my mind and I am just going about my days, sporting a carefree mind.

There is much to tell, many photographs to share, gossip to vent! But for now, I shall update you with the latest -
My Leaver's Ball.

The name is pretty much self explanatory, it was a ball for those who are leaving school (like me) which joyfully cost 50 squids and consisted of 'free' wine, mediocre food, gowns, gleeful chat and shameful dancing. Overall, the night was hilarious and so much fun!
I had such a 'ball'.
(I know you love my jokes)

Now, I could rant for Britain with all that has gone on this week, but I think it's safest to save my gossip for another (preferably rainy) day. Here are my favourite photos taken from Friday night. A small summary of the event you could say....
You have here some of the gals, looking gorgeous at Tiffany's house before the ball.
You have here cousin G unit and mee! My dress was bought about 4 hours before this photograph was taken! That's right.. it is a drastic dress. It turns out the dress I had bought off ASOS a week beforehand decided not to show up - cue PANIC STATIONS and even a few tears. But it all turned out fine! I prefer that dress actually! It's from French Connection (my favourite shop) and, even though the length was madness, It was so lovely to wear.
Freeman and Tom
(he wasn't going to the ball, incase you were questioning his attire)
Yup, there's me, cheekily (drunkenly) posing for the camera.
Girls go Beige
My date, Willy Wonka and I
(he got head butted and his nose is now wonky, although he is adamant that this is not the case)
His is sometimes called Willoughby and he is just my friend - for the record.
I've cut the meal photographs and got straight to the good stuff - the dancing.
Oooooo the dancing. I wish I could dance like this every night.
S Club 7 never gets old.
A bit out of place eh?
After the ball, we all headed back to Tiffany's for the 'after party' and made full use of her lovely pull and hot tub!
This is the hilarious part of the evening, Freeman and I laughed more than usual.
I put this one on just to affirm my drunken state.
All the signs are there, run mascara, eyes closed, idiotic smiles and beer in hot tub....
classic.
After sleeping on the conservatory floor, a good stretch and bounce on the trampoline was crucial.

I am so happy to be posting! :)
Please take note of that 'smile'... It is a rare thing that I 'smile' on here...
I'm just so happy okay!

Anyway, I'm off to go watch the tennis final.

But it's good to be back (whata drama queen)

Happy Blogging!
