A Bribe Breakfast

Muck Up Day - The day when one is aloud to go into their school of 7 years and
'muck it up'.

This usually involves a theme... loo roll... face paint... water bombs... upside down tables and chairs... tampons and condoms hung precariously/inappropriately on things... holding signs saying 'honk if you're horny' by the school road... etc etc. It's pretty special. If you had the chance to muck up your school, you'd take it wouldn't you?... Well, we didn't. Nope. Do you know what our headmaster did? Bribed us... with a full English Breakfast at one of the best beach restaurants in Jersey. And we gave in without deliberation.

Cumon, I mean, we'd finish school, get monstrously drunk (you saw the previous post) and then du duuuuh, a beautiful, free breakfast prepared for us to eat the next morning! (you know how I feel about hang over breakfasts) What could be better??? We estimated that £700 quid was spent on us that morning, what a bribe! We would have been fools not to go for it.
Here's the bribe breakfast, not in all its glory, unfortunately (I had eaten a lot by this point)
This lovely lady, Lucy, brought a cake for the ENTIRE year to eat, bless her.
Year 13, 2010 - (minus me, dammit)
Three of my best friends, (the can of coke and the yellow ribbon represent two of our other best friends who had an exam that morning and missed bribe breakfast, how mean is that!)

I don't think I have many readers who are in the same position as I am, but I'm sure everyone's been through this process of leaving... it brings out such contradictions... sadness, excitement, nostalgia, looking to the future, loss, gain.... I don't really know how to feel or what to think.

But all I know is that I have left and there ain't noo turning back! HURRAH!
Bring on Chapter... 3?

Brain Freeze in the Feet

Mid week, and I thought I'd share with you the gems of Jersey that one can never get bored of or feel trapped by - the Beach and the Country in all its glory! These snaps were taken on Sunday (aka, hangover day) however, the sublime weather meant for a day trip and we begun our adventure by picking up these guys, who we found sat at the side of the road playing the guitar, drinking beer, writing some epic songs and frying like a piece of bacon.
Jersey Cows - what Jersey is 'famous' for (along with our Jersey Royal Potatoes!)
We ventured out West to the beautiful beach of St Ouen. There was a long boarding competition going on at the time so loads of people were down there and the atmosphere was simply brimming with JOY.
Here's a shot of the sea and some learner surfers huddled together on foam boards, frightened of the gigantic waves heading their way (I joke). I must photograph my board, 'G PANG' one day. I don't have a roof rack on my car so haven't been able to transport it out West yet, but my friend Tiff has a garage in St Ouen's, which will soon hopefully be 'G Pang's' new home.
(Yes, my board's name is G Pang)
Over Exposed - this definitely reflects my crazy vision by the end of the day, due to the fact that I don't own a pair of sun glasses - fool! (Also, i'd like you to take note that just because the weather looks fine and people are half naked, doesn't make Jersey's sea WARM. It was fucking baltic and going for a paddle was like 'brain freeze in the feet'.
Beautiful Delia, (previously an ipod) wearing sun glasses (regaining her pride).

All in all, a great hang over day.. perhaps an incentive to get drunk more.

'No Delia, you are not an ipod'

My Saturday night in pictures. There are too many photographs so I won't bore you with a lot of writing, i'll try to keep it short and sweet.
Yolanda's 18th - a girls gathering with drinks, bbq food and inappropriate dancing.
The beautiful birthday girl herself, Yolanda
Some friends (tiff and freeman - future travel buds) and me
The GURLS
My friend em, she has a blog too, check it - http://jerseyandthemonkey.blogspot.com/
Cupcake galore! These are definitely all the trend right now
Beatings on the trampoline (this happens every year)
Drunk and dancing - this was to a crowd of 7 happy onlookers.
Only us 5 made it to the Splash (the rest went to town - typical!)
The DJ's were so involved!
This guy had SOUL
As did Yolanda
I really like this
I think we were the only girls in the whole club
3.00am, in Matt's car, annoyed because we couldn't drive it.
Southy decided to sleep on it (well it's better than drink driving)
We got home! - not through drink driving - but through Yolanda's mother... yes, we are cool and we only got cooler when we played bowling on the WII and ate rice krispie cakes and brownies.
'no Delia, you are not an ipod'
'hmmm, wait... no, nope, can't hear anything'
This was a party stopper
GOOD MORNING sweet and fresh.
The typical Sunday Recipe.

I'm tired
