The Soap Did It.

Hi all,

Things aren't right.
It's blazingly hot outside whilst I sit here,
sniffling, spluttering and coughing my brains out.

How can this be??

I can only blame my past week. It's been a weird one.
1. A terrible Fancy Dress Party.
Nobody showed up.
This is the frightening thing about throwing a party,
you can never tell if it's going to be a success or a flop.
In this girl's case... I suppose the venue was too big,
too far away.
It was on a friday night - people chill on fridays.
It was fancy dress - people can't be bothered.
But I showed up!
Dressed in an orange vest,
claiming to be CHARMANDER
(you know... the Pokemon....)
No, I will not show you a picture of that.
2. A surprisingly good party!
Here's me, pulling up to my friend, Daisy's house
to find myself being ushered into an enormous home-made car park.
I can remember taking this picture...
taking a few steps back, bewildered at the gross amount of cars before me.
Daisy had told me her dad's friend was having a party at hers,
and to 'pop down'
I did not foresee what I would be 'popping' into.
It was gigantic!
Outside the house alone were tents, thai food, espetada stands,
fancy dress stalls, a safari truck... People smoking weed, taking pills
and dressed in all sorts of things.
And then there was me.
Sober and wearing something I'd just been to work in.
But I did stuff my face with green thai curry.
Inside the basement was a bar filled with booze...
SO MUCH BOOZE!
There was a stage where 10 bands played throughout the afternoon/night,
some of which were pretty famous.
(I can't remember who they were now)
THERE WAS A FREAKING FRUTINI MACHINE FILLED WITH MOJITO!!!

I would say that I am ill because I took loads of drugs, drunk loads of mojitos
(which apparently got spiked with MDMA later on that night)
and partied too hard...
But alas, I don't do drugs, I remained sober and I left at 11.30.

I am a sad excuse of a human being.
3. Student Night
A night where I took my sad sad self and got very very drunk!
(probably the night that brought on this cold)
I held some pre drinks at mine and we took the bus to town.
We were the only people on there, and we sung many many
heart felt, girly songs for the bus driver's entertainment.
(He applauded as we left)
Just look at that pose...
Why do I always do this?
Please... somebody shoot me
or at least take me home!
Nobody took me home... just yet.
We went to Pure, where a new student night was being held.
Good music, good dancing.
It was a shame when I went to the toilet, leaving my drink by the sink...
to find it tasted different when we were reunited.
Had it been spiked??
No. Somebody had just squirted soap into it by accident.
(my life isn't that exciting)

There was an incident, however, with the boy I was seeing for a while
(before getting back with Peter)
He ignored me
and later on told me that I wasn't worth talking to anymore.
I was pretty upset, I thought we were good friends.

P.S. I still reckon it was the soap which made me ill

Happy Blogging everybody

Cupcake Galore? Cupcake No More!

Hello!

My second break from revision this week was the birthday party of my best friend, Katie Freeman.
(I did a photo shoot of her hanging from some trees a while ago)
The baby of the group, Freeman finally hit the big 18!!

I'm just a little sad because I couldn't get her a present,
couldn't spend time on making her a card (which is major tradition),
couldn't get to the party early like all the others,
couldn't drink
and I couldn't even stay long!!
All due to my exams.

Can they just bugger off already!!!!

boohoo!!! :( !!!!

Okay, angry rant over. At least I got some nice photos of the evening...
Freeman's renowned for her love for food. This made us all laugh, she hates to share.
Can you guess who Katie is from the baby photo above I wonder?
On a more happier and interesting note -

Cupcakes galore? Cupcakes no more!
(I love to rhyme, sorry)

3 huge cakes were present at the party! haha! shock, horror.

My theme went out with a bang.
Delicious

Hope everyone's exams are going OK.
Happy blogging!

The Fat Club

Hello,
This weekend I did not drink.
(I know I mention alcohol a lot, but I promise you, I am not an alcoholic)
Instead,
I drove
and I ate chinese food.
I revised.
I went to another 18th,
where I remained sober
and drove home at an appropriate hour (11pm).
I made no spectacle of myself
nor did I eat 'hang over' breakfast.
I don't like study leave anymore.
I found myself taking photos of the 'things' at this party rather than the people.
(More cupcakes! I think I can safely say I have a running theme going on here)
This is what I look like when I'm at a party
creepy loner loser girl ??

haha, these photos make me laugh.
I really need to get a life and put down my camera at social events.
I don't want people to start calling me 'creepy loner loser girl'.
That's for sure!

I hope you had a better weekend than I did!
Happy blogging

Bad Repuation

Friday - My last official day of school! Though.. It wasn't really my last official day of school... they brought on study leave a week early but I still need to go into school next week, so i'm not gunna cry about it. (perhaps i'm just in denial)

Friday night - It was my friend, Pip's 18th birthday party, just a small crowd of about 50 people (although there was a marquee, buffet and free bar). I had to work Saturday morning so I resisted the free bar and the coach to town and drove home at half 11, very damaging for my reputation.
The buffet was frikin awesome
That's Daisy, I've mentioned her before
Things got a little crazy in the marquee...
...So we moved the craziness outside.
Saturday - WORK WORK WORK. I had to go into work in the morning from 9 − 12 and then I had to go BACK AGAIN from 4 − 6.30. It was such a gorgeous day and I work in a duty free 'cave' at the harbour, dealing with French people shouting at me as I stare blankly at them saying 'je suis desole!!!'. (My rep seriously plummeting)

Saturday night - Emma's 18th! I escaped work and had 15 minutes to get ready. (I was an HOUR late). Em hosted a dinner party and we all ate yummy tai green curry and more birthday cupcakes (I told you, they are so IN right now). We got a little coach into town and we boogied away... it was so much fun and I was having a ball... until something extremely unfortunate happened. Who happened to turn up to the same club at the same time? T and L... I did my best to avoid any conflicts, but this meant just leaving my friends.. going home.. alone.. passing out on the sofa and feeling pretty sorry for myself. But you know, it could have been worst.
Saturday night
wahoooo Celebrations
At the end of the night (note the anxious look on my face)

I hope it won't be like this every weekend for the rest of the summer!!!
& I hope you all had a lovely weekend, free from work and anxiety.

Peculiar Behaviour

A three day weekend has fixed me. My memory is back to its usual running order (no longer forgetting things as major and as often) whilst work seems to be under control (I wrote two essays last night which aren't due till next monday) - that's some very peculiar behaviour.

This looong weekend was frikin awesome!! (and obviously just what I needed) I must must must document it with a few snaps.

This is me before heading off to my friend's 18th paarty
We whipped out the baby photos heheh
The girls waiting for the bus to town...
GREAT times were had (we had ciders for party bags!)
Rain came down so obviously one must remove their shoes?
I spose she saved her feet for some serious boogying.
and some random street beat boxing!

I danced my feet into some serious pain that night (evident by the blisters on my feet) but it was oooh so much fun! I loved waking up on that sunday morning knowing that I had another day to go before the week would officially begin. I had another party to go to on that sunday night, though this time it was more of a chilled out affair (lucky, considering the night before). The location was beautiful. We had to print out a map to find the place (absolutely pathetic seeing as Jersey is such a tiny island!) which was located in a Fort built by the Germans when they invaded and occupied Jersey back in WW2 (a nice little bit of context for you there). We had to stumble down some cliff paths to reach the party... take a glimpse.

Balloons signify only one thing...
The interesting walk down
It was a nice walk for the sober (me)
HURRAH! we made it!
Inside was lovely! blazing fire and fairy lights and food
The Mission...
hahaha, this was very amusing! The responses you get from drunken people when you give them a moustache are priceless. You can see I have pen everywhere (you make your own fun when everyone else is steaming)...my only faux pas was when I woke up with a big fat blue stain on my chin from when I had leant on my hand in the night.... sigh.

But what a weekend :)
