I miss eating abroad.

Blog Hiatus

Blog hiatus begun when Loz died, I think. Her blog was the secret she shared with me. The ins and outs of her life for me to read. I was closer to her then than I've ever been, just through reading her true thoughts.. and I can't help but feel glum when I come back here.

Then again, she always shouted at me for not regularly posting, haha.

So, hi.

The end of Lauren's life also marked the beginning of my travels,

and the distinction between these two things are pretty hazy.

Leaving Jersey

(and not returning like one would after two weeks on holiday)

was weird and friggin' wonderful.

It was as though my friends and I had escaped the reality

of Loz' death, work, winter, parents, 'To Do' lists, rules,

and without worries,

we did whatever we wanted to, whenever we wanted to.

It was so free, easy and surreal.

But there's still not a day that passes

when the Bear doesn't cross my mind.

She should've been there.

I now have 1 week before I leave for Edinburgh University.

Whoa.

Working = Money & Money = Travelling

I've abandoned my blog for long enough.

There's been a lot going on...

I've found myself wondering how I ever had the time for this?

Which is weird

considering all I've been doing for the past 4 months is filing 9 − 5

and switching off in the evenings.

Kind of switching off anyway...

But i've also found money can = excessive spending when one is feeling naughty.

i.e. I think i've spent over 500 pounds on cameras........ crap.

But anyway, I shall keep this short.

Indisposable

Whilst my camera was having fun turning on and off

whenever it pleased

I turned to the trusty disposable camera,

£5 from Boots.

I get tired and stroppy and cry when I fall over

When I started up this blog, I saw 18 as old.

I thought I was heading directly towards adulthood,

yeah, sure, why not?

I definitely wasn't, i'm definitely still not.

When do you become an adult anyway?

How do you know?

It's my last week as an 'official 18 year old adolescent'

and yes, I work full time,

I live by myself...

I pay for my own food.

I make my own doctors and dentist appointments.

But I still call my mother, 'mummy'

I still have a cuddly toy

(his name is Target, he has a hairy chest, 3 legs and wears a frown)

I get tired and stroppy and cry when I fall over

and I'm hopelessly disorganised and forgetful.

I can't cook.

Maybe this is why I'm taking a gap year... I should probably grow up...

But maybe I should have as much fun as I possibly can

before that happens.

Adolescence is hard to hold on to.

I miss the days when all I had to do was rely on my parents.

Nowadays one has to rely on themselves.

Got to get a job, got to make money, got to buy your own ticket.

In a lot of ways it's better; the independence, the feeling when you receive that first pay check.

In others ways it's just like...

'GOD DAMN,

WHY WON'T SOMEBODY ELSE JUST PAY FOR IT'

But right now, I'm feeling gooood!!!!!

I have just secured a job from September to December!

Ok, so it's a filing job..

Ok, so i'll be bored out of my mind for 4 months..

But fuck, I am going travelling for 6 months next year!!!!

Travel date: 26th of December.
